Christmas is coming!

Hi guys
I know some of you may hate it, some of you may love it. But... it's nearly Christmas. 20 days to go!
I'm really looking forward to Christmas and now I've watched about 3 Christmas movies last weekend, I've got into the Christmas spirit!!
I would imagine over Christmas people are going to eat lots, drink lots and then have lots of wild parties. Well here's a joke to get you started before the crackers:
Good King Wencelas phoned Dominos for a pizza
the salesgirl asks him
"Do you want your usual? Deep pan crisp and even?
thought that would be a good start to the Christmas Cracker jokes we're all going to hear over the next few days. Apologies for the really bad joke by the way.

Lord Mayors Show In London

Hi All
Another blog post coming your way! On Saturday the 10th November, a few New College Students and I went to London to watch the Lord Mayor being crowned Mayor. We were actually taking part in the parade.
We had to be there at 6:30 am at the fountain so getting up at 5:30 was not pleasant!
Then when we were at the fountain, we waited for the taxi which would take us to Worcester Shrub Hill Station. When the taxi arrived, we got in and went to Shrub Hill. We were all excited as this was all our first time! When we got to Shrub Hill it was time to wait for our train, which would arrive at 7:08 am. When the train came, we all used our guides and canes to get on the train and find seats. When on the train, a few of us went to sleep, as we were all tired from getting up early, a few of us played our Ipods and a few of us just watched the scenery go by!
When we got to London after a very very long train journey, we found our place in the parade, which was number 13, unlucky for some! We were number 13 out of 100!
When we got to our parade we waited for our turn to move, because we had to wait for the other carrridges and the band to move. When we finally started walking it was quite a fast walk, but good because we got to wave at all the crowds and a few younger kids gave us a high five! I high fived about 10 kids in a row at one point!!!
Then an hour after that it was lunch time. We had packed lunches and we sat by the river Thames overlooking the London Eye to eat our lunch which was a lovely view.
Then we had to walk again and we again got high fives on the way back! I was surprised at how many people were there!
On the way back I saw someone with an Ipad, and me being creative made up a new word, the word is Ipapped because the crowd were our paparazzi and we had our photo taken by an Ipad!! Genius!
Then when we got back to the street we started on, we got to watch the other floats go by! it was great because when you are actually in the parade you don't see the floats, so we got to see them.
Then it was unfortunately time to go back, after a lot of walking, hand waving and time for our long journey back to Worcester. All in all a great day and enjoyed by all! The best bit was being there! The sights, smells, and sounds of it all were just incredible! I will definetely come again!

my happy life :)

Hi guys
I told you I'd update soon enough, and I want to update to tell you about my happy life! This week I had my annual review which is a review on how I'm doing this year and it's all positive!
I'm really happy, lots of things are making me happy at the moment, for example, I am going on holiday on my own with my friend next year, to Bognor Regis. ON MY OWN! Without Mum and Dad!
I've also been looking after an assessment student this weekend, and made friends with her, unfortunately I will not be here next year to see her get funding, but I have got her number and we keep in touch.
So at the moment my life is one happy bubble!
:) :) :) :D

funny blonde jokes

OK I apologise for anyone who is blonde, but I have to tell you all these jokes as they are so funny.
Ever wondered how a blonde remembers their passwords?
Recently in a password audit they found out that a blonde was using the password MickeyMinniePlutoHueyDueyDonaldGoofy
when asked why such a long password the blonde says well it had to be 8 characters long! I I am not blonde so it did not offend me! :)

Birthday Party!!

This weekend I went to my friend Jess's birthday party, which was really really lovely. On Saturday we went to Frinton which is in Essex. We went to the beach and had some lunch out. Jess's Mum was really nice and then we came back, had a roast dinner and then went to make Jess's birthday cake! It was very funny and we had lots of laughs! Jess managed to sneeze into the cake mixture, which wasn't too nice, but we all survived food poisoning!
Then Sunday we went out for a bit to see Jess's family and then we came back got some stuff ready to go back to school, came back and got everything ready for the party on Sunday night.
I had a really lovely weekend and really want to say a huge thank you to Jess, and her Mum for inviting me.
I would love to do it again sometime.

My Summer Holiday

Ok so it's been quite a while since I last posted!! Oops! But I'm here to tell you all about my summer. First we went to France, which was lovely. Didn't have bad weather, caravan was brilliant and beach was phenomenal!! Most of you won't know this but I've been looking at going out independently on my own without Mum and Dad. Well this holiday was my chance. A charity called brighter life who help adults like me who don't get out as much get out, I've been out bowling, shopping, walking in the park ( although we did get slightly lost going there!!) all with this mentor. It was great fun. Brighter life are great! I've been a little bit lazy with my blogs lately but I am going to try and update more often. Thanks. Comment if you can. Jess. :) ps brighter life is supposed to have a capital, but iPad is being silly.

The Cruise

Hi Guys
I unfortunately deleted the post about the cruise by mistake! oops! So I'm writing it again. We went on a cruise  on the 20th October last year. We were all looking  forward to it and I wasn't keen on the boat  idea, but I wanted to try it out.  When we got to South Hampton, to cut a story short, we went to the boat which was the Independence  of the Seas. It was a big  boat and  quite huge! I didn't realise it had  12 or 13 decks!
There  was one night though where it got quite rough. We were travelling from Lisburn in Portugal and the sea was pretty rough. We were kind of going over the waves, and then crashing back down. Was very scary.
Then a few days later, the ship was a  bit wobbly so Mum gave me a sickness tablet. She thought this would help me stop feeling sick, but it made  me worse. I ended up  having  a huge  argument with Dad and Mum, and nearly calling ship to shore! Some  of you may know  it is a landline call so you can make a call from the ship to the shore, but I thought it meant someone would  come  and rescue  me. or a little  man rather like! I think I have learnt my lesson  now, and I don't think I'm going on another one! :) spoken to my mum and dad and they agree we think it's for  the best!!!

Tribute to a special person in our lives

A very special person died in our lives a few days ago. She was a lovely, bright, charming girl, and always brought a smile to our faces. Whenever we were down, she helped us be happy.
Never will we see again the face of this student, but we know that she is here in spirit, we know that the angels will be looking down on us and looking after her. We know that sometimes life just turns upside down and messes things up for us, but we have to live on. and that is what this student does, just not on Earth, but in heaven.
We miss you Alexandra, and we never will forget you.
Thank you for being in our lives, thank you for living
amen

Thought showers!

Heard the other day that the word "brainstorming" is offensive to epileptics!
I didn't know this until then but do you guys think it's offensive?
I often thought that brainstorming was a word to join people together to create ideas but no apparently it's offensive to epileptics!
what do you think?

Thank you Joe Mcelderry

Hey Joe
I just wanted to post this message for you, because I wanted to thank you for wishing me good luck on August the 9th when I had my tooth operation. I wouldn't say it helped in the blood pressure regions, but it did help me calm down when they were taking the canular out!! But Joe one thing is, please stop looking so beautiful! You also stopped me breathing half way through my operation, which didn't help!
But anyway I also want to thank you for everything you have done so far, and even if you get the haters, you just brush em off and start again. I like that so keep on smiling and making me laugh! Wishing you all the best in 2012.
